Amid the tragic devastation caused by the wildfires in Los Angeles, Soundwaves Art Foundation has announced their ‘We Love LA’ auctions to fundraise for Sweet Relief’s Natural Disaster Fund. Throughout the month of February, Soundwaves will be auctioning one new piece each day, and all profits from these auctions will go to beloved partner charity Sweet Relief Musicians Fund for their Natural Disaster Relief Fund. Included in these auctions will be some very special number ones, artist proofs and originals, and some from previously sold-out collections. Artists will include CherThe DoorsFall Out BoyKoRnWeird Al and more.

Ryan Fergerson, Operations Manager at Soundwaves Art Foundation shares “Soundwaves would not be able to do the work we do without the generosity of the music and film industry. We know the fires impacting the LA area have been devastating to many, and while recovery will take years we want to do what we can to offer support during this time of rebuilding.”

Aric Steinberg, Executive Director at Sweet Relief Musicians Fund adds “Sweet Relief and Soundwaves have worked together for years to help the music community in times of need, and we could not be more grateful for their partnership and support.  These fires have been devastating to our LA-based music community and it’s wonderful to see Soundwaves stepping up to help once again. These incredible artworks will go a long way to help us during this long recovery process.”

Soundwaves Art Foundation is the creation of British-born, US-based artist Tim Wakefield. Following a decade of fundraising in the UK via charity art pieces created with help of some of Britain’s biggest sports stars such as David Beckham and Lewis Hamilton, Tim turned his attention in 2005 to his first love: music. After a year of artistic experiments and samples, Soundwaves Art Foundation was born in London. Since then, Tim has worked with 500+ of the world’s leading musicians who have added signatures and handwritten lyrics to his canvas prints and originals.
