Strike The Tower is a 5 piece metal band out of Charlotte, North Carolina. We’ve gotten to see the band a few times live and they’re always a favorite. So we were stoked to check them out this past week when the band hit up Hangar 1819 in Greensboro, NC. The show was originally going to be headlined by Flaw, but when the band had to unfortunately cancel their July tour, all of the other bands on the line up rose to the challenge of making sure the show went on. A lot of planning goes into live events so it’s really cool and shows true professionalism of everyone involved when they can make this happen.
It was surely a scramble as they only had a few days to get the word out. But you know what happens when you have an incredible local music scene? People show up for them! We had a small but pretty excited crowd that night actually. Inferior Design, Heathen Sun, and Automag all played sets and then Strike The Tower hit the stage last. What I noticed? Everyone stuck around for it, people were still hanging out and ready to rock when Strike The Tower hit the stage and they crushed it with one hell of a headline set too! Check out some live shots from their set that night taken by I’m Music Magazine Photographer Daphne McKinney.
