The Summer of Loud tour spent the bulk of the summer slamming through the U.S. This is not your average tour, but actually a full touring festival containing some of the biggest metalcore bands out there. Each day of the tour, EIGHT bands would share a single stage. There were minimal breaks in between sets, and it wasn’t full of the usual crappy 25 minutes per band we get at a lot of festivals. It was a full day of music and fans loved it!!

This festival got off to an incredible start opening up on June 21, 2025, in West Palm Beach, Florida. We were so excited to catch these bands on closing night, which took place July 27, 2025, at PNC Music Pavilion in Charlotte, North Carolina. Even after a month of daily festivals these bands were still full of energy. So, the fans in attendance? Well, they matched that energy no problem!!

We arrived early ahead of the first band of the day in Charlotte on July 27th. While 7 bands on the tour’s lineup stayed the same, openers varied. We were fortunate enough to catch Dark Divine playing the earliest set on the last day of tour and they absolutely blew us away. I should also mention, it was brutally hot that day. The temps were exceeding 100 degrees, but the venue worked hard supplying water and assistance to any fans needing it to make sure everyone got to have fun.

Shortly after Dark Divine left the stage, they were followed by Alphawolf. Next up were sets from The Amity Affliction and The Devil Wears Prada. After having witnessed 4 awesome sets, it felt like a pretty full event honestly. But actually, the concert had barely begun at this point. Next up were all the headliners for the tour. See, they didn’t just have one headliner or two that alternate. The Summer of Loud included FOUR headliners every single night. Each of these bands played full hour-long sets, and the order alternated nightly.

Fans got to see four of the biggest bands in the genre play full headline sets. In Charlotte, I Prevail would hit the stage first for their headline set. They were followed by Killswitch Engage, Parkway Drive, and then Beartooth finished the night off. So fans weren’t just getting a taste of a few tracks, these bands played all the favorites, added in some new tracks, and also a lot of pyro. So much fire and every single set was a show in itself. It was absolutely amazing and frankly, is exactly what we’ve been missing in life.
