A testament to years of crafting beautiful, affirming, and transportive art, Lights’ A6 draws from a rich well of Lights’ experiences — grief, growth, love, and self-discovery. Sonically, it blends midwest emo, nostalgic new wave, and immersive synth-wave. Written and produced by Lights from her home in British Columbia and inspired by sights and sounds of BerlinA6 captures life’s fleeting moments—like notes kept in a journal, too personal to say aloud. Previously released singles from the album include the ‘last hope anthem’ “ALIVE AGAIN” and teaser-track “DAMAGE.” A6 is due for release May 2, 2025 and fans can pre-save the album HERE and pre-order orange crush colored vinyl, signed vinyl, and CDs HERE.

With nearly half a BILLION streams worldwide and having crossed 200 Million views on YouTube, the 4x Juno award winner is thrilled to be hitting the road for some intimate shows across North America as part of the (A)LIVE AGAIN Tour, beginning in her native British Columbia in Victoria on May 8 at Capital Ballroom, before hitting cities across the U.S., including venues in PortlandSeattleLos AngelesChicagoNashvilleNew York City and elsewhere. Most dates and VIP packages are sold-out, but remaining tickets are available HERE.
Last month, the electro-pop heavyweight released two additional tracks from her forthcoming album, “WHITE PAPER PALM TREES” and “SURFACE TENSION.” Both written and produced by Lights, the former brings some of Lights’ early-day influences to the forefront, reminiscent of her more nostalgic leaning material, while the latter pushes Lights into new territory, channeling dark wave and new wave elements and a string of German lyrics as a nod to A6’s inspirations. The diversity of the tracks speaks to the breadth of her album.
I couldn’t decide which song to release because I feel like both appeal to such different sides of the fan base,” explains Lights. “I had the idea to release both simultaneously and let the fans decide where they stand.”

The dual release is set to please fans both old and new, while their dualities extend into the visuals for each song. Both directed and edited by Lights, the accompanying music videos are shot and edited to interact with one another when played next to each other at the same time. You just have to decide which volume to turn up. See her demonstration HERE

About Lights:Lights is many things all at once: Singer. Songwriter. Producer. Multi-instrumentalist. Comic book author. DJ. Artist. She’s also unabashedly honest and unapologetically confident. Weaving in and out of alternative, indie, electronic, and dance, she makes manic pop irreverent of boundaries, yet reverent of truth. She speaks her heart musically and her mind lyrically. It’s why her shadow over alternative music and culture continues to grow with streams in the hundreds of millions and widespread critical acclaim. She has sold out tours on multiple continents, made headlines from Coachella to Comic-Con, and powered collaborations with Travis Barker, deadmau5, Kaskade, Illenium, Steve Aoki, Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park, and more.
