Taylor Acorn is set to release her debut album Survival In Motion on September 13, 2024. We were absolutely stoked to catch her live this week when she rolled into Hangar 1819 in Greensboro, NC on September 6th. We had the unique opportunity to catch Taylor Acorn before the show that evening playing a short acoustic for a VIP crowd. The raw emotion she throws into every performance completely blew us away. Whether there’s just a few people in attendance or a huge crowd, her passion for this is apparent and felt by everyone.

After doors opened, the room really started filling in with excited fans. It wasn’t long before opening band, Mind the Drive would hit the stage. Mind the Drive is a pop-punk band out of Virginia. The band released their debut single “Gone Tomorrow” earlier this year. They had no problem getting this pretty nice sized crowd pumped up for the headliner. Their set was filled with great original tunes, which included their latest single “All In,” and then they even threw in a nice little surprise for the audience by covering blink-182‘s “Anthem, Part Two.”

There was only a short set change before Taylor Acorn would finally come out on stage. She dove straight into “Final Nail,” which will be on her upcoming debut. Taylor treated the fans to quite a few tracks off of Survival In Motion that night. But she also included some audience favorites off of the Certified Depressant EP from 2023. The night included a lot of singing, a lot of dancing, and even a surprise engagement on stage!! (What?!) It was awesome! Everyone in attendance really had a great time enjoying just a really incredible show with Taylor Acorn.

Taylor has a few more headline dates scheduled, but will also be headed out beginning September 18th to join Dashboard Confessional and Boys Like Girls for a huge fall tour. For a full list of tour dates, visit: https://www.tayloracorn.com/
