The Black Dahlia Murder released their latest album, Servitude, on September 27, 2024 via Metal Blade Records. This album marked the first one seeing co-founder Brian Eschbach take over lead vocals for the late Trevor Strnad. This was a much anticipated album and one we worried we’d never see from one of our favorite death metal acts. Servitude, however, has received rave reviews from fans all around the globe. And their current tour has had fans packing venues excitedly to see this band continue a great legacy.
We were excited to catch The Black Dahlia Murder live on October 30th at The Fillmore Charlotte. Their current U.S. co-headline tour sees the band teaming up with Dying Fetus for the “Beg To Serve 2024” tour. The tour began on October 3rd in Cleveland, OH and will wrap up tonight, November 10th, in Chicago, IL. They also brought along SPITE, AngelMaker, and Vomit Forth to fill out the line up every night of the tour.
When we caught this tour in Charlotte, The Black Dahlia Murder would hit the stage last for the night. The band came out and fired straight into “Evening Ephemeral,” which is the first track off their latest album, Servitude. The guys played an incredible 14-song set list for the fans that night and this crowd loved every minute of it. We saw people jumping, screaming, and crowd surfing all the way ’til the end that night. Check out some live pics from their set below.
