Denver band The BRKN: Jacob Cade (vocals, guitar,) Mike Bokenkamp (drums,) MJ Younkers (guitar,) and Tristan Verghese (bass) are currently on the road with The Dangerous Summer on the heels of their recently released new song and accompanying video for “Not The Same.” The band made a stop in Chapel Hill, North Carolina on March 23 at the Local 506. We were able to attend the band’s show and it was quite impressive. Those guys packed more into their 30 minute set than some headliners do in a 90 minute set. The band was incredibly tight and seasoned quite a bit beyond their years. They sound great on the recorded music that they’ve released, but their live show really elevates it to another level. Man, they absolutely crushed it! Oh yeah, I do have to add something about Jacob Cade. That guy is an anomaly and something amazing to witness live. The spaces that he visits with his guitar is jaw dropping! If these guys come anywhere close to you, please go see them. You can thank me later!
