Live music and touring have been on lockdown and fans as well as artists are going through withdrawals. We wanted to come up with something fun to help bridge that distance between fans and artists right now. What we came up with is  something called The Lockdown Lowdown and it’s a Q&A session with fun questions for artists to answer. They’re not your typical interview questions, so it gives you a peek inside of the artists themselves. We’re big music nerds here at I’m Music Magazine and we love learning things like this about the artists that we love. We’re pretty sure that you’ll get a kick out of these, so we hope you’ll take the time to read them. In this installment, we spoke with hard rockers Between The Rain

1. How have you been doing during the pandemic and how are you spending your time?

Victoria: Surprisingly well. I’ve been doing a lot of hiking.

2. Have you been working on new music?

BTR: We have! One of the perks of world-wide lockdown has been lots of time to finish projects we’d started. We’ve got a few tracks that we’re looking forward to recording.

Life on the road; 5 of the craziest/funniest/scariest tour stories

BTR: We once had a band member go into a Chinese buffet and accidentally knock some Jell-O into a dish of pudding. He tried to fish the Jell-O out using his hand. They threw away both trays… and were very displeased with him. That’s probably the funniest story we have.

We’ve had gear stolen, witnessed fist fights in the crowd, we’ve had band members attempt to play while completely trashed, and we were once mid-set at a house party when cops arrived to check out a noise complaint — oops!

5 favorite movies:

Victoria: With the disclaimer that I’m no movie buff:

The Departed

Uncut Gems

Wolf of Wall Street

O Brother, Where Art Thou?

Mulan

Best and worst advice you ever heard:

Roddy: Treat others as yourself; conversely, don’t get involved with computers.

Strangest thing you ever autographed

Tim: I’ve only ever autographed pieces of paper as far as I can remember.

If music was over today and you had to go into professional wrestling, what would your wrestling name be?

Roddy: Animal – from the Muppets!
