Live music and touring have been on lockdown and fans as well as artists are going through withdrawals. We wanted to come up with something fun to help bridge that distance between fans and artists right now. What we came up with is  something called The Lockdown Lowdown and it’s a Q&A session with fun questions for artists to answer. They’re not your typical interview questions, so it gives you a peek inside of the artists themselves. We’re big music nerds here at I’m Music Magazine and we love learning things like this about the artists that we love. We’re pretty sure that you’ll get a kick out of these, so we hope you’ll take the time to read them. In this installment, we spoke with Emily Daccarett.

How have you been doing during the pandemic and how are you spending your time? 

I’m staying productive and have been using this time to do all the smaller projects I wanted to do before but didn’t have the time or energy to actually do them. It’s helped me create a routine at home that keeps me excited and motivated. I definitely have those days where I feel like I’m losing it. My brothers and I made the decision to leave the city and spend quarantine at our parent’s house near the countryside, so we have a good support system here and have been spending the weekends camping, boating, and hiking.

Have you been working on new music?

Yes! I’m working on my next album, scheduled to be out around January 2021.

Life on the road; 5 of the craziest/funniest/scariest tour stories

I haven’t been on the road yet with my band, I have traveled for my fashion shows (I’m also a fashion designer) and let’s see…..

1. Having my mom yelled at by production in New York for being back stage

2. Clothes torn backstage and having to pin onto the models

3. Loosing shoes backstage

4. Lights going off and having to collect phones to use the flashlight for the make up artists to see.

5.My last show in LA we were expecting around 200 guests and 700 showed up. I was told

there was a lot of shoving to get in.
