Live music and touring have been on lockdown and fans as well as artists are going through withdrawals. We wanted to come up with something fun to help bridge that distance between fans and artists right now. What we came up with is  something called The Lockdown Lowdown and it’s a Q&A session with fun questions for artists to answer. They’re not your typical interview questions, so it gives you a peek inside of the artists themselves. We’re big music nerds here at I’m Music Magazine and we love learning things like this about the artists that we love. We’re pretty sure that you’ll get a kick out of these, so we hope you’ll take the time to read them. In this installment, we spoke with Wes Jones of Pharmacose.

How have you been doing during the pandemic and how are you spending your time? Have you been working on new music?

I’ve been working some. I still practice medicine as a pathologist, but since elective procedures have been canceled, I have been not as busy. COVID hasn’t really hit my area as hard as others, and I am not really on the front lines as would an ICU doctor. So, I’ve had a lot more spare time. I have been doing a lot of practicing. I’ve been practicing piano. I’ve always wanted to be able to play it better than I can. We’ve been working on some new material remotely as well. We’d like to release a couple new songs at the end of the year in addition to Prescription Fiction, Part 1, and the forthcoming Part 2. I think those songs would be part of a compilation of both albums. Who, knows, we might even try to throw a cover in there as well!
