Live music and touring are on lockdown right now and fans as well as artists are going through withdrawals. We wanted to come up with something fun to help bridge that distance between fans and artists right now. What we came up with is  something called The Lockdown Lowdown and it’s a Q&A session with fun questions for artists to answer. They’re not your typical interview questions, so it gives you a peek inside of the artists themselves. We’re big music nerds here at I’m Music Magazine and we love learning things like this about the artists that we love. We’re pretty sure that you’ll get a kick out of these, so we hope you’ll take the time to read them. In this installment , we spoke with Copenhagen rockers The Killer Hertz!

How have you been doing during the pandemic and how are you spending your time?

The Killer Hertz: Well it has been difficult to have an album release, but not being able to perform it live – but we’ve used more time on the promotion part and thank god we’ve had three music videos ready before it all went down! At the same time, we’ve made some brand-new t-shirts and patches for our merchandise, and made over twenty interviews the last month, so we are trying to use the time more effectively, despite the situation.

Have you been working on new music?

We are always working on new material and ideas – there’s 4-5 new songs in the making, and still need some work – but almost three months without any rehearsals is pushing the band to the brink of insanity ha-ha…we want to play as a band…soon hopefully.

None. Nothing crazy, funny, or scary ever happens to me. I play the gig and then hurry home to a nice cup of tea and a nice book of contemporary poetry, and then go to bed early.

Best and worst advice you ever heard

When Pedro (owner of Earplug studio) told us to try out Nicklas Sonne (who mixed and mastered our latest album) – that was very good idea.

Strangest thing you ever autographed

Fans in the audience who wanted autographs after the show – We wrote on their skin, and afterwards they told us they would get them tattooed…

If music was over today and you had to go into professional wrestling, what would your wrestling name be?
