While live music and touring were on lockdown, fans as well as artists were going through some major withdrawals. We wanted to come up with something fun to help bridge that distance between fans and artists. What we came up with is  something called The Lockdown Lowdown and it’s a Q&A session with fun questions for artists to answer. We cover artists from all around the globe and these are not your typical interview questions, so this gives you a peek inside of the artists themselves. We’re big music nerds here at I’m Music Magazine and we love learning things like this about the artists that we love. We’re pretty sure that you’ll get a kick out of these, so we hope you’ll take the time to read them.  In this installment, we sat down for a fun Q&A session with Void Collapse.

How have you been doing during the pandemic, and how are you spending your time?

I’ve been doing pretty good personally, or at least about the same. I’ve been fortunate though as far as coming into contact and such. Honestly not much was changed for me. My job never stopped, and I raise two ten year old girls with my girlfriend. I’ve always been a hermit, and didn’t really notice the lockdowns. So, on that front it’s been the same as it was before. We’re a project band, so I work on it in my free time. I think the pandemic put in perspective that I should have free time, and I should be using it to full advantage, so took that notion and I’m working non stop on Void Collapse every time I get a chance.

Have you been working on new music?

I am always working on it. Haha, we released Gwenda in August, and I took a quick break. But I’m right back on the next album. Gwenda was the first of a four album concept. Each album is going to cover one of the queens of the tarot deck. Gwenda is the Queen of Wands. I’m starting the Queen of Swords right now. On an average I get a song or two done a month, and then I’m doing everything else for the band too. Everything I do in my free time goes towards this. I do it as a hobby, but I love putting everything thing together, even if it’s for my own benefit.

Best and worst advice you’ve ever heard?

I don’t really take things in like that. Not that I don’t heed advice, but I don’t process things like that, or compartmentalize. All the old sayings and proverbs usually tend to be true, and that’s how I live in general. Do unto others, stuff like that.

Strangest thing you’ve autographed?

Just an autograph. I’ve only been asked once, and that’s been it. Haha

If music was over today and you had to go into professional wrestling, what would your wrestling name be?
