Live music and touring are on lockdown right now and fans as well as artists are going through withdrawals. We wanted to come up with something fun to help bridge that distance between fans and artists right now. What we came up with is  something called The Lockdown Lowdown and it’s a Q&A session with fun questions for artists to answer. They’re not your typical interview questions, so it gives you a peek inside of the artists themselves. We’re big music nerds here at I’m Music Magazine and we love learning things like this about the artists that we love. We’re pretty sure that you’ll get a kick out of these, so we hope you’ll take the time to read them. Jane N’ The Jungle will be the launch of this new feature, so stay tuned for many more installments.

We spoke with Jane N’ The Jungle lead vocalist Jordan White who gladly helped us out with these questions to help launch our new feature!

Life on the road; tell us your craziest/funniest/scariest tour stories.

1. We booked a 4 star hotel in El Paso on Priceline that happened to be under construction when we arrived.  They tried giving us rooms with the toilets randomly sitting in the room not plugged in and bed frames pushed up to the wall with no mattress and no sinks or showers.  They sent our whole tour crew to a series of 3 different rooms each that all looked like a crime scene.  Finally we were able to get decent rooms after 3 hours and the hotel giving us margaritas while we waited.

2. Scam show in North Hollywood that said was a Grammy Award party….. which was not.  It was a show that was booked at a band rehearsal studio that had people fly out from all over the world to perform in a small room with just the artists performing.  It was a horrible scam, we felt so bad for everyone that was a part of it.

3.  Driving through Texas I was driving my Father’s Ford Raptor and it hydroplaned with our trailer on the back of it and we were sliding all over the road and almost flew off a bridge.  The trailer and the truck has skid marks from hitting the freeway walls.  We were so scared after we went to Dairy Queen to help ease our nerves.

4.  A few years ago we had a show at the Whisky A Go Go and the band and all of our families stayed in a huge home off of Cold Water Canyon that was about to be demolished the following week.  Nothing worked in the home, no air, showers didn’t work, the water had leaks coming out of everywhere and one of the band member and his wife had to sleep in a bed that was in a closet.   The house was so bad it was painfully funny.  The best part was the jacuzzi that was outside on the cliff across the canyon from Bruce Willis.

5.  New Mexico…..  we wrote a song about it that actually turned into “Animal.”  Some stories are best not to be shared but will come out in our music.

What are your five favorite movies?

3.  Almost Famous
