Arena rock band Journey’s love ballad “Open Arms” as interpreted by The Oxys is out now, listen HERE. Band co-founder Jason “Ginchy” Kottwitz says “If someone would have suggested I’d be covering a Journey song ten years ago, I would have slapped them, but here we are!!”
The Oxys began back in 2021 when Ginchy (Dead Boys, Sylvain Sylvain and the Sylvains) and frontman Phil Davis managed to smash the monotony of pandemic life by channeling their collective energy into music and creativity. By December of 2022, they put out their first full length record, ‘A Date With The Oxys’ (Dead Beat Records). Following much critical acclaim for their debut, they delivered ‘Generation Irrelevant’ just 12-months later, again garnishing favorable worldwide press. With drummer Chris Alaniz, guitarist Genocide, and bassist Michael Harpel filling out the line-up, the band is ready to hit the road in 2025.
