On Nov. 22, the Salem Civic Center, in Salem, VA, was host to the Rock Resurrection Tour. Theory of a Deadman joined forces with Skillet and Saint Asonia, to bring a night full of fantastic music! Saint Asonia opened up the show to a audience that included a wide range of ages, from 6 to 60. Frontman Adam Gontier kept the excitement going by mixing in a few songs from his former band, Three Days Grace. John Cooper, frontman for Skillet, joined them onstage for their newest release, “Wolf”. By the time their set was over, the crowd was more than ready for more.
Skillet brought their high energy show, next. Noticeably missing was their well-known pyrotechnics, most likely due to venue size. They didn’t let that stop them from having a fantastic performance, complete with some of their best hits, including “Rebirthing” and “Comatose”. Saint Asonia’s Adam Gontier joined them on stage for “Finish Line”. They closed out their 15 song set with “The Resistance”, leaving the crowd amped for the final band, Theory of a Deadman. They opened with the title track of their newest album, Dinosaur. The varied sounds of the band through the years where flawlessly performed throughout the show. Including fan favorites “RX (Medicate)”, “Lowlife”, and a rousing rendition of “Bad Girlfriend” to close out the show.
There are more dates on this tour, so make sure you check them out! You won’t regret it!
