It had been a long time, a very long time since The Silk War set foot on stage. The band was really gaining momentum and creating such a buzz for themselves leading up to the release of their debut album and then Covid hit the brakes on everything. Their brilliant album debut album Come Evening was released on May 14 and the band continued to promote it thanks to several music videos that they had released. We were fortunate to be able to sit down with band members Alexandra Blair [singer, lyricist] and James Mullen [guitar, songwriter, producer] just prior to the album’s release (read it here).

Fast forward to July 9 and the band was scheduled to play their very first show back at TV Eye in New York City! Our talented Contributing Photographer Alice Teeple geared up and headed over to the venue and got to check them out,back in all they’re glory. Alice also snapped up these freaking awesome shots for us!
