Three Days Grace released their 7th studio album Explosions on May 6, 2022. The album would give the band their 17th number one single with “Lifetime.” Many times you go to a concert waiting on that one big song you know, or maybe a couple of songs you know well, which is usually played at the end of the set. Not the case when you get to see Three Days Grace live! The band just finished a co-headline tour with Chevelle and when Three Days Grace hit the stage, well they started off with a hit. Then another one, and another one. It culminated into a full night of sing-alongs.

We were stoked to catch the band live back on October 12th at Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre in Charlotte, NC for one such concert. As a co-headliner, the band played a 75 minute set with a full 15-song set list of hit after hit after hit! Three Days Grace would start out the set that night with “So Called Life” from 2022’s Explosions. As with other dates on the tour, they have brought special guests and fans on stage to perform during the set. In Charlotte, the band brought out a local NC musician to help out. HEIRLOOM vocalist Nolan Kenneth would provide some guest vocals on “Just Like You” and the whole crowd went crazy for it. The band brought it down a couple of notches when they went into “Lifetime” and “Never Too Late” late in the set. Of course as is always the favorite for everyone, Three Days Grace ended the night on an explosive performance of “Riot.” Vocalist Matt Walsh would take a fall at the end of the set and be helped off stage by his bandmates. As a true professional, they still finished the last night of the tour in Boston, MA only 2 nights later. Matt would perform in a chair for the last night of the tour.
