Swedish rock band, Thundermother, unleashed the rock opening for Scorpions at the Kia Forum on October 4, 2022. Hitting the stage with their opening song, “Whatever”, the band delivered a set full of high-energy rock anthems. Singer, Guernica Mancini, guitarist, Filippa Nassil, bassist, Mona “Demona” Lindgren and drummer, Emlee Johansson, have great chemistry on stage and are captivating to watch.
“The Road Is Ours” and “Dog from Hell” were highlights of the set with Guernica’s bluesy rock vocals and Filippa’s incredible guitar skills.
The dynamic energy of the band combined with Guernica’s powerhouse vocals was at an all-time high during “Back In ‘76”, “Loud and Free” and “Black and Gold”, the single off their new album. The band ended their powerful eleven-song set with the rockin’ “Driving In Style” and got the crowd hyped for Scorpions.
Thundermother puts on a must-see rock show, with catchy songs and the band’s phenomenal stage presence. Guernica said they were honored to be playing at the iconic Forum. From where I sat, they were more than worthy to be rockin’ that stage.
