W.A.S.P. is currently on the road on their North American headline tour. The “Album One Alive” Tour is celebrating the 40th anniversary of their debut album. For the first time in 40 years, W.A.S.P. is playing that album in it’s entirety live every night. It’s an awesome event and we were stoked to catch the tour live when it rolled into The Fillmore Charlotte recently. W.A.S.P. had a huge crowd that night and they were treated to one hell of a show!

Armored Saint got the show started that night. Armored Saint is also celebrating the 40th anniversary of their debut March of the Saint. The band played a couple of tracks off their debut, but really filled their almost hour long set with tracks from every era. The band absolutely crushed their set and just left fans wanting more!

When W.A.S.P. hit the stage we weren’t sure what was going to happen. We knew they were playing their debut in it’s entirety, but beginning to end? How was it going to go? That was the biggest question! That was answered immediately when they band launched straight into “I Wanna Be Somebody.” The band didn’t skip a beat going straight into “L.O.V.E. Machine” right after. Lead vocalist, Blackie Lawless, addressed the crowd discussing their decision to play the debut beginning to end and assured fans this will be the only time they’ll get to hear this. It was a show hearing the full debut like this!

After playing their last track on the album, “The Torture Never Stops,” the lights went down and the band exited the stage. No one in the crowd was ready to leave just yet, everyone stuck around cheering and clapping and waiting for the encore. The lights came back up as W.A.S.P. hit the stage again for almost another show. The band played a medley of our favorite tracks through the years then ended on their biggest hit, “Blind in Texas.”

The current North American tour doesn’t end until December 15th, so you still have time to catch them live. For a full list of remaining dates, visit: https://www.waspnation.com/tour
