Swedish hard rock band H.E.A.T album, Force Majeure, on earMUSIC (August 5th) is a follow-up to 2020’s H.e.a.t II. Bringing back original singer, Kenny Lekremo, the new album delivers the best memories of nights at the Rainbow on the Sunset Strip, listening to 80’s deafening rock/metal bands.

“Back to the Rhythm” sets the tone of the album with a head-banging anthem. Then “Hollywood” rocks the hardest with a nod to Tinsel Town and all its glory and gory tarnish. The chorus, “We can be understood; what is bad and what is good in Hollywood?” has been in my head since the first listen. “Harder to Breathe” is the stand-out track to me. The singer’s incredible vocal range is surprising and explosive.

“Hold Your Fire” chorus and the lyrics sung with Kenny’s soul-ripping vocals, “Is there anything bigger than us when the going gets tough, “makes this song one of my favorites. “Demon Eyes” with fast guitar riffs and Kenny’s vocal range is reminiscent of bands I loved, like Skid Row.

H.E.A.T’s album delivers everything I love about rock bands with pulverizing rock/metal vocals, tons of scintillating guitar riffs, and just straight-up headbanging fun is reminiscent of bands like Whitesnake. Every song put a smile on my face with my approving metal horns high up in the air.
