Disturbed set out on the North American headline tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of ‘The Sickness’ on February 25th. We were beyond excited for the chance to catch this once-in-a-lifetime tour when they rolled into Spectrum Center in Charlotte, NC on April 12th. The band brought some huge opening acts, which included Nothing More and Daughtry.

When it was finally time for Disturbed to hit the stage, the curtain fell and smoke poured through the entire stage into the audience. Vocalist David Draiman appeared in a straight jacket and mask being wheeled onto the stage. When he was released, he stood before the crowd as the band started into the opening notes of “Voices,” the first track off of 2000’s The Sickness.

The band played 2 full sets that night, which they will continue through out the tour. The first set is ‘The Sickness‘ in it’s entirety from beginning to end. They allowed a short intermission between the 2 sets. Just enough time for everyone in the crowd to grab themselves a drink and race back in before Disturbed hit the stage once more. The 2nd set was filled with hits, favorites, covers, all the awesome stuff we all love them for. Including a full beautiful piano version of their cover of “The Sound of Silence.”
