Bush brought his red hot The Land of Milk and Honey Tour to the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida on May 12. The tour includes Mammoth as well as James and the Cold Gun as the openers. People were already buzzing about the show as they entered the venue. Many rushed to get a spot down front on the rail while others ventured to the numerous merch stands to get a shirt. some made their way over to get a tasty adult beverage. James and the Cold Gun kicked off the night and really got the crowd fired up. If you are planning on going to the show to see Bush, show some respect to the openers on this one because James and the Cold Gun will blow you away. Many were already familiar with Mammoth due to front man Wolfgang Van Halen being the son of the late guitar legend Eddie Van Halen. The band has released three albums and they are great. Don’t expect Wolfie to be playing and Van Halen covers in his set as he stays clear from doing that material. The guy wants to stand on his own and he does, incredibly well. He is an amazing guitarist and he does his dad proud. For those who don’t know, he actually played bass in Van Halen for a while. at a young age he held his own right there beside his dad on stage.
Last, but certainly not least is Bush who appears to have tapped into the fountain of youth. The guy looks and sounds great! he played the new single “The Land of Milk and Honey” as well as classic faves which leaned heaviest on the Sixteen stone album. “Comedown,” “Everything Zen” and “Glycerine” as well as many others were in the set. The band had the audience singing along all night long! Again, no matter who you are coming to see, make sure to get there to see this amazing night of live music from beginning to end. You definitely don’t want to miss any of these bands.
