Yungblud continues to celebrate the success of his Grammy nominated 4th studio album, Idols, with a full world tour. The North American leg of the Idols World Tour spanned from May 1, 2026, through June 13, 2026. Yungblud brought the tour to 24 U.S. cities. All dates had been sold-out for months in advance, in fact the entire tour completely sold-out within 30 minutes of going on sale. To say there was some excitement about this tour hitting U.S. soil is definitely an understatement.
I was pretty excited to get the chance to catch the tour too. While we weren’t approved for a photo pass for this particular show, we did get a review ticket. Honestly, that just means I got the unique opportunity to catch the show in its entirety, not something I always get the chance to do when I’m also photographing. So, I’m bringing you some highlights from my spot in the crowd when the tour rolled into Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre in Charlotte, NC back on June 4, 2026.
LiveNation and Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre posted well in advance for concert goers to arrive early to ensure they get in to see the show on time. With the massive number of fans coming in, gates were set to open at 6:30 with a start time of 8:00. This gave fans plenty of time to get into their seats and be ready to rock out. When we arrived, the line waiting for gates to open was huge!! Actually, not everyone even joined in the line at first. Many fans were found lining the streets with chairs and music and umbrellas. It was a full celebration of fans excitedly waiting for the show that night. So many just hung out with fellow concertgoers making new friends. I always say you’re never truly alone when you go to a concert by yourself because you will always meet new friends. This show was definitely a testament to that. I myself met so many new people just hanging out before the concert was set to begin and we had so much fun.
I met so many people that I actually found myself as one of the last ones trickling into the gates at 8:00 when The Warning took the stage. But the entry was seamless, LN security was swift and got everyone inside with no problems. I was excited for the chance to see The Warning perform a full set actually. The last time I got to check this band out was at the same venue back in 2022, while opening for Halestorm. A storm ripped through the venue that night and The Warning only got to play 2 songs before having to rush off stage. I only got a little taste of their music that first time, but this time seeing their entire set was absolutely fantastic. These girls can play, they can get the crowd moving, and they are so much fun to watch live. I love that they are continuing to grow and play bigger shows.
While the venue does have a pit and lawn which are general admission areas, much of the venue is seated. But nobody was using those seats, even before Yungblud took the stage, those fans were up and just anxiously waiting for the headline set to begin. Sometimes a curtain will be covering the stage while it’s being set up but that didn’t happen that night. I think it only made the anticipation build while we watched the stage officially being set for Yungblud. When the stage lights went down and “War Pigs” began playing from tape through the speakers, the crowd roared.
Yungblud hit the stage and launched straight into “Hello Heaven, Hello”, which is a full 9-minute anthem. This is such a poignant moment to signal exactly what this show will be like. I have a set list posted below and you may see that Yungblud performed 13 songs that night. That may not sound like a lot in comparison to other artists you may see. However, Yungblud pours everything into each song every single night at his concerts. These aren’t short performances; and they are definitely far from being “watered down”. The reason people were excitedly lined up well ahead of show time is because they knew the kind of experience they would be getting. This experience transcends a lot of tours which are happening right now because every track is its own over the top experience. Yungblud manages to bring out what fans loved from all their favorite rock artists from years past. It’s also why you see generations of fans in attendance. One of the first people I met before the show started was a grandmother seeing Yungblud for the fourth time and excitedly telling me what she and her granddaughter loved about him. When I got to my seat, I got to watch the joy of a little boy who couldn’t have been more than 8 or 9 years old. He came in with chains around his neck and eyeliner on and stood on his seat so that he could see the stage and danced and sang to every single song all night.
That’s what Yungblud brings, a full experience that is enjoyed by everyone.
