Fueled by soaring hooks, cinematic guitars, and emotional urgency, “Dreaming Dangerous” captures the band’s signature blend of neo-classic and melodic alternative rock. Frontman Peter Argyropoulos describes the song as “the lovechild of Springsteen, The Pixies and Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust era.”
“After a year of work, we’re wrapping up recording and mixing of our new album,” says Argyropoulos. “We wrote and recorded all 10 tracks at an old warehouse we rented in Venice Beach. It’s an amazing place with a history that dates back to the building of the local canals over a hundred years ago. We’re fortunate to have landed there. Very inspiring. The space is featured in the music video for the album’s first single, ‘Dreaming Dangerous.’ It’s a song about embracing the opportunity to reset your life. It’s both intimate as well as bombastic.”
Sons of Silver features singer/guitarist Peter Argyropoulos (Last December, Pete RG), bassist Adam Kury (Candlebox), guitarist Kevin Haaland (Skillet), drummer Marc Slutsky (Splender, Peter Murphy), and keyboardist and engineer Brina Kabler.
The band’s full-length debut album, Runaway Emotions (January 2025), earned widespread acclaim. Classic Rock Magazine hailed it as “fully formed ‘big’ music, purpose-designed for large crowds and larger arenas,” while New Noise Magazine praised its “multiplexity of soaring vocals, alternative rock, and riffs. Every song pours emotion and energy.” The album followed two acclaimed Eps, Doomsday Noises (2020), which landed three songs on the Billboard Active Rock chart, and Ordinary Sex Appeal (2022).
In October 2025, the band released the live EP 7 Cities 7 Songs, recorded during their Art of Letting Go Tour alongside Myles Kennedy and Tim Montana. Folk N Rock Magazine wrote, “The riffs sound phenomenal here, with a strong clarity that gives the performance its live action energy. For a live cut, the recording feels immaculate.”
With “Dreaming Dangerous,” Sons of Silver launch the next chapter, one that builds toward an ambitious new album while continuing to expand their cinematic rock sound and explosive live presence.
