The first annual Carolina Chainsaw Massacre Festival took place on June 3-4, 2022 in North Carolina. This festival included not only a day of meet & greets with famous horror movie icons, then each night turned into a kick ass concert. The stage featured not only some local North Carolina metal bands but also some old school death & thrash metal bands. We were stoked to have the opportunity to photograph the music portion of the festival.
Night two took place at Arizona Pete’s in Greensboro, NC. This is an indoor venue and one we hit up fairly often for shows. They had loads more horror icons and tables lined up with fans coming in taking pics and getting posters signed. It was actually the first time I’d walked into the venue with all of the lights on, I felt like I got to see the place for the first time! At about 5:00 pm, they moved the tables out and the lights went down and that’s when the first band hit the stage. Check out some highlights below from night two.
Eldritch Horror is a death metal band originally out of Raleigh, NC. They got night two started up right away.
Shed The Skin hit the stage next.
False Prophet is a death metal band out of Greensboro, NC and they definitely brought the crowd out when they hit the stage. Their set included a guest appearance from Incantation‘s, John McEntee.
First Jason features actor, Ari Lehman, who played the first Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th.
Nasty Savage is a thrash metal band out of Florida known for crazy stage antics by vocalist Ronnie Galetti and he made sure to bring out a bunch for the very enthusiastic fans.
Demolition Hammer brought their thrash & death metal sound up next and the fans went crazy for it.
