We Came As Romans are currently out on the Darkbloom II Tour. The tour began on October 10th in Indianapolis, IN and will finish up on November 19th in Nashville, TN. We were excited to catch this tour recently when it rolled into Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro, NC back on October 28th. The venue had a HUGE line of eager fans waiting to get in when we arrived that night and it filled up in no time once the doors opened.
Archetypes Collide would get the show started and had no problems getting this crowd pumped up. The band released their self-titled debut on March 31, 2023 via Fearless Records.
Bodysnatcher would hit the stage next. We’ve gotten to see this band live a few times this year actually, they are always on tour! What amazes me every time is how they can grab any crowd and whip them into a frenzy in no time and this night was definitely no different.
When Emmure hit the stage, the crowd erupted. These guys haven’t toured in quite awhile and fans were left thinking we might never get to see them again. Not the case! The band performed like no time had passed at all and they crushed it!
We Came As Romans have spent most of the year on tour in support of their album Darkbloom, which was released in October 2022. I got the chance to see the band in January on their first headline tour of the year and I loved every second of it. All I can say is, they have not lost any momentum.
The stage set up was a little different and they have a constantly rotating set list so every night is exciting and different. In Carrboro, the band hit the stage and dove straight into “Darkbloom” the title track off their most recent album. While I am mesmerized by what’s happening on stage, I realize there’s also a sea of jumping happening right behind me as the crowd is moving along with the track and singing along. And oh right, a full wave of crowd surfers also headed to the front of stage before the first song even ended. These guys know exactly how to get an already excited crowd to start moving even more!
Vocalist, Dave Stephens could be seen giving fist bumps to fans desperately reaching out in excitement while bassist, Andrew Glass was climbing on top of ledges to the left and right of the stage, anywhere he could find to play for fans in every direction. We Came As Romans played one hell of a set and it really never slowed down all night. Not just fans, but the band was still jumping up and down even until the very last track.
The current U.S. tour will be ending on November 19th and the band will be headed out in January for a full Europe/UK Tour. For a full list of dates, visit: https://iamdarkbloom.com/pages/tour
