Truth and Salvage Co.’s album Atoms Form was recorded in 2012 and produced by Rob Schnapf (Elliot Smith, Beck). Originally, this album was rejected by the band’s former label and now it’s finally being released on October 7th on Blackbird Record Label/Indie AM Gold/Oakwilde Records.

“Charm City” starts off the album with a psychedelic rock jam that sets the tone. You can hear Chris Robinson’s influence in this song. The Black Crowes singer signed the band to his Silver Arrow label in 2009 and produced their debut album.

“I’m Not Your Boyfriend” is the standout track that has a classic folk rock/country sound reminiscent of The Wallflowers. The song is about a non-committal man reflecting on letting, “a destiny girl slip away.” “Bird on the Wing” is about being in love back home while touring. The lyrics paint the picture of bittersweet life on the road: “It’s a dream when you come to see me in all these places. Though at times it seems that the scenery rarely changes. Hotel drapes block out the sun’s rays.”

“Back in your love” has a rousing chorus that feels like a perfect Saturday with the one you love. “Summertime” is a perfect song to listen to while taking a long drive along the beach. This song has a Tom Petty vibe with singer Scott Kinnebrew reminiscing about reconnecting with lost loves and friendships. “Atoms Form” build of blues/rock guitars and keyboards makes this one of the coolest songs on the album. “Alive” is a perfect soul-stirring ending to this album with the lyrics, “Goodbye to my best friend, I’ll see you someday.”

Truth and Salvage Co.’s Atoms Form is an album that will stand the test of time with its powerful storytelling and classic Americana/Roots Rock sound.
