If you know bodie, you probably know him from The Voice, where his vocals and unmistakable style took him all the way to the finale. But to reduce him to a reality TV runner-up would be a huge disservice. He’s part of a growing wave of artists pushing the boundaries of what “Christian music” even means, blending genres, sidestepping formulas, and reaching people who might have once run from anything labeled “religious.” His debut album NO SKIPS, and the breakout single ”whisper and the wind,” cracked the Top 10 on both Billboard Airplay and Mediabase Audience charts with over 38 million streams worldwide.  This early success suggest bodie isn’t knocking on mainstream music’s door, he is about to kick it in. Nominated for a Dove Award in 2025,  people are taking notice of his career beyond his time on The Voice.

bodie, born Bodie Kuljian out of Orange County CA, has been one of the opening acts on Colton Dixon‘s “The Love I Have For You” tour which made its final stop in Lubbock TX on May 3rd.  Although he only played for 20 minutes, the set energized the very diverse in age crowd.  Many standing, dancing and clapping along during his whole performance.  Yes the crowd may have been there to see the headliner, but bodie had a strong performance where he probably gained many new fans.  His message of hope during the performance was welcomed during these troubling times in the world.
